Ohio Therapy Dog Training Center, Inc is a 501 c3 nonprofit organization.
The mission of the OTDTC is to provide a facility for dogs and dog handlers that will provide skills necessary to safely share your dog with others.
OTDTC provides different environments that simulate what a therapy dog team will encounter after passing their therapy dog test (therapy dog registering or testing is not provided at OTDTC). OTDTC provides a handlers training program so the handler understands and is educated about their responsibilities to whichever environment they so choose to visit with their dog. We teach the handler what they are to watch for while on their visit as well as what to watch for in the body language of their therapy dog.
Other missions will offer educational sessions about therapy dogs, training and the difference between therapy dogs, service dogs, and pilot dogs. OTDTC will set up educational booths at major dog events. All donations will go for everyday operations to continue doing what we can for others.
OTDTC wants to provide a center of training & education in dog-related educational seminars for the public at a small fee to help operating cost and to help with further training & education.
